# How long tracking is remembered

> The tracking cookie’s lifetime and how to configure it.

iTracker360 remembers a visitor's attribution using a cookie (backed up in the browser's local storage so it survives normal cookie expiry).

## Default and configuration

The cookie lasts **one year by default**. You can change this under **Tracking → Cookie expiration** to match how long your buying cycle runs.

## Inspecting or clearing it

When testing, you may want to look like a brand-new visitor:

- The simplest way is an **incognito / private window**, which starts with no cookies.
- Or clear site data from your browser's developer tools (Application → Clear storage).

iTracker360's cookie is named with an `iTracker360_` prefix, so it's easy to spot if you're inspecting cookies directly.
